The Department of Work/Life Initiatives focuses on programs and policies to help employees and trainees effectively manage their personal and work lives, especially when there is friction between the two. All postdoctoral researchers are welcome to take advantage of these services.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering's work/life initiatives include an information and referral service provided by LifeCare; back-up childcare provided by ChildrenFirst; Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Children's Center on Roosevelt Island; lactation rooms; and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Nanny Resource Web site. Memorial Sloan-Kettering also provides an Employee Assistance Program Consortium to help staff deal with personal or work-related problems that can sometimes interfere with work and life. For more information, visit the sections below or e-mail Amy Rabinowitz, Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Work/Life Specialist, rabinow@mskcc.org.
