If you need a transplant and do not have a matching donor in your family, the National Marrow Donor Program provides an online public search of potential donors and cord blood units. And the National Cord Blood Program provides a similar search for cord blood units. Both these searches result in the number of potential matches.

Only a transplant center can determine if these potential matches are suitable and available. If you would like Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to be your transplant center, call Patricia Walka at 212-639-7431.

For both these online searches you will need your human leukocyte antigen (HLA) typing lab report. You should ask your doctor for this report.
