Undergoing neuroblastoma treatment can be daunting. In addition to medical treatment, patients and their families have emotional, social, and financial issues surrounding a diagnosis of cancer, some of which are related to cancer, while some are a result of treatment. To help ease the difficulty of neuroblastoma treatment, we have a team of professionals whose role it is to help address these needs. The team includes social workers, child life specialists, teachers, chaplains, support staff, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, patient representatives, and others. Through these professionals, we provide a wide range of services and programs to help maintain the well-being of patients and their families. Some of the services and programs we offer include:

  • Dance, Music Therapy, and Yoga
  • School Program
  • Medical Play
  • Individual and Group Counseling
  • Playroom and Recreation Center
  • Relaxation and Meditation
  • Yankees Universe
  • Caregivers Support Group
  • SIBS Program (for siblings)

For a complete listing of support services and programs and for more details, see Pediatric Cancer Care: Support Programs and Services and Pediatric Cancer Care: Life in Pediatrics. To participate in or access any of these services or programs, please talk with any member of the Child Life Staff or the social worker assigned to your case.
